Object of the Game

Travel around the board drafting as many heroes as you can. The more heroes you draft, the more money you can collect, and the more powerful you'll be when you battle the Children of Thanos.

If you're the last player with money when all other players have gone bankrupt, you win!

Setup

  1. Choose someone to be the Banker. The Banker's in charge of:

    • The Bank's money
    • Bases
    • Headquarters
    • Hero cards
    • Auctions

The Banker can play too but must keep their money separate from the Bank.

  2. Banker, give each player: M1500.

Keep the rest of the money in the box as the Bank.

  3. Shuffle the Stark Industries cards, and place them facedown on the game board.

  4. Shuffle the Stark Industries cards, and place them facedown on the game board.

  5. Each player chooses a token and places it on GO.

  6. Put the dice by the gameboard.

Game Play

How to Win

Move around the board drafting heroes and collecting as much money as you can. If you're the last player with money when all other players have gone bankrupt, you win!

Each player rolls both dice. The highest roller starts, and play moves to the left.

On your turn:

  1. Roll both dice.

  2. Move your token clockwise that number of spaces.

  3. Where did you land? Carry out the rules of that board space.

    Did you Roll Doubles?

Roll the dice again, and take another turn.

    Watch Out!

If you roll doubles 3 times in a row, you must immediately Go To Jail! Do not complete your third turn.

  4. Your turn ends. Pass the dice to your left.

That's all you need to know, so get going. Look up the spaces as you land on them.

The Board Spaces

Heroes

In this version of Monopoly, instead of buying properties, you'll draft heroes for your team. Heroes come in color sets, except for Winter Soldier and Black Panther.

A. Undrafted Heroes

When you land on a hero that has not been drafted, you must draft them or auction their allegiance.

  • Want to Draft the Hero?

Pay the price on the board space, and take the hero card from the Bank.

  • Don't Want to Draft the Hero?

The Banker must auction the hero's allegiance. Bidding starts at 10, and anyone can increase the bid by as little as 1. You don't need to follow turn order. The Banker ends the auction when no player is willing to increase the bid.

The highest bidder pays the Bank. If no one wants to bid, that's fine. No one pays anything, and the hero card stays with the Bank.

  • Collect Color Sets!

When you have drafted all heroes in a color set:

    • You can collect twice as much money for those heroes!

    • You may build Bases and Headquarters and charge even more money!

B. Drafted Heroes

When you land on a hero that someone else has drafted, the owner must ask you for payment.

If they do, you must pay. If they don't ask before the next player rolls the dice, you don't have to pay!

Winter Soldier and Black Panther

Roll the dice to determine payment.

If the owner has drafted only Winter Soldier or Black Panther, payment is 4 times the dice roll.

If the owner has drafted both, payment is 10 times the dice roll.

Action Spaces

Children of Thanos

The four Children of Thanos are Cull Obsidian, Proxima Midnight, Corvus Glaive, and Ebony Maw. When you land on a Child of Thanos, you must engage them in battle! Roll one die once for your token character, plus once for each hero card you have.

As soon as one of your rolls matches the number on the board space, you escape from the battle!

Take another turn.

If none of your rolls matches the number on the board space, you lose the battle. Pay 200 to the Bank.

Go

When you pass or land on the GO space, collect 200 from the Bank.

Stark Industries and Infinity Gauntlet

Take the top card from the matching deck, and immediately do what it says. Return it to the bottom of the deck when done.

Ultron and Hela

Pay the Bank the amount shown on the space.

Free Parking

Relax! Nothing happens.

Just Visiting

Don't worry. If you land here, put your token in the Just Visiting section.

Go to Jail

Move your token to the Jail space immediately! Do not collect 200 for passing GO. Your turn is then over.

You can still collect payment, bid during auctions, buy Bases and Headquarters, sideline (mortgage) heroes, and trade while you are in Jail.

How do I get out of Jail

You have 3 options:

  1. Pay 50 at the start of your next turn; then, roll and move as normal.

  2. Use a Get Out of Jail Free card at the start of your next turn if you have one (or buy one from another player). Put the card at the bottom of the appropriate deck; then, roll and move.

  3. Roll doubles on your next turn. If you do, you're free! Use the roll to move, and that's the end of your turn.

You can use up to 3 turns to try for doubles. If you don't roll doubles by your third turn In Jail, pay 50, and use your last roll to move.

Buildings

Building Bases

As soon as you get a color set, you can start buying Bases (you don't have to wait for your turn).

Pay the Bank the cost on the hero card, and place a Base on the hero's space.

You must build evenly. You cannot build a second Base on a hero's space until you've built one on each space in the set. You can only have 4 Bases on a single space.

Building Headquarters

Once you have 4 Bases on all hero spaces in a color set, you can build a Headquarters.

Pay the Headquarters cost on the hero card, return all 4 Bases to the Bank, and put a Headquarters on the hero's space.

You can only have 1 Headquarters per hero. You can' t add any more Bases. You cannot build on a hero's space if any hero in their color set is sidelined.

Not Enough Buildings

If multiple players want to buy the last Base or Headquarters, the Banker must auction it. Bids start at 10 and anyone can increase the bid by as little as 1. You don't need to follow turn order. Payment goes to the Bank

No Buildings Left?

You can't buy any until someone sells theirs back.

Deals & Trades

You can buy, sell, or swap heroes with other players at any time. You must sell all buildings in a color set to the Bank before you can sell or trade a hero. You cannot sell or trade buildings to another player.

Heroes can be traded for cash, other heroes, and/or Get Out of Jail Free cards. The amount is decided by the players making the deal. Sidelined heroes can be traded at any agreed-upon price.

The new owner must immediately:

  • Reactivate the hero (pay the Bank the cost shown on the card).
  • Or keep them sidelined (just pay the Bank 10% of that cost now).

Help! I Can't Pay

A. Try to Raise Money

If you owe money and can't pay, try to raise money by selling buildings back to the Bank and/or sidelining (mortgaging) heroes.

Selling Buildings

Sell Headquarters to the Bank for half the cost price, and exchange them immediately for 4 Bases. Sell Bases to the Bank for half the cost price. Bases must be sold evenly across the color set.

Sidelining (Mortgaging) Heroes

To sideline a hero, you must first sell all buildings in their color set to the Bank at half their cost price.

  • To sideline, turn the hero card facedown, and collect the sideline value on the back from the Bank.

  • To reactivate a hero, pay the Bank the cost shown on the card; then, turn the card faceup.

Money cannot be collected on sidelined heroes. However, the increased payment can be collected on the active heroes in a color set.

The increased payment on Winter Soldier and Black Panther may be collected in the same way.

B. if you're still in debt, you are bankrupt and out of the game

Do you owe another player?

Give them all your sidelined heroes and any Get Out of Jail Free cards.

The new owner must immediately:

  • Reactivate the hero (pay the Bank the cost shown on the card).
  • Or keep them sidelined (just pay the Bank 10% of that cost now).

Do you owe the Bank?

Return all your heroes to the Bank. Any sidelined heroes are reactivated. All your heroes' allegiances must immediately be put up for auction.

Return any Get Out of Jail Free cards to the bottom of the appropriate deck. The remaining players keep playing until there is only one person left in the game.

That player is the winner!

To Keep Your Game Short And Sweet, Don't Use House Rules!

Always auction when someone doesn't want to draft the hero they've landed on. Never loan money to other players or make deals not to charge each other. Never put cash in the center of the board; you don't get a bonus for landing on Free Parking!
